Most of the Broilers are raised with flat ground litter . The density discussed below refers to the stocking density of the ground litter.
Because the chickens are growing up, the most critical breeding density is when become full grown and ready for slaughter. It is now more scientific to determine the total weight of chickens per square meter when laying out, rather than how many chickens. The general principle is that in an open house (naturally ventilated), the total gross weight per square meter of chicken is 20 to 22 kg: if the environment is controlled, it can be 30 to 33 kg. Due to different feeding purposes, the body weight is different when the bar is released, and the density of the flocks is different. It should be flexibly controlled according to the seasons, climate, etc., and adjusted appropriately. Table below is based on general principles for implementation in production practice.
