Question:What is the bottom? Is the bottom a thin nylon that so many beds have and dogs chew holes in quickly?
Answer:Yes. It's a mesh/nylon material. It is fairly sturdy though. My dog chews on her bed sometimes and has not chewed a hole in it.

Question:I have a 20lb dachshund and I want to know if this will fit in her carrier and give her room to move around in circles!?
Answer:A 20lb dachshund should fit nicely in the bed. I have two of these beds and my dog & cat love them. However, due to its circular design, it probably won't fit in a kennel the way you expect. It probably won't be long enough (carriers are rectangular) and the sides will scrunch up along the carrier walls. Pardon the pun, but if you put this bed in a carrier, your wiener dog will look like it is laying in a bun.

Question:Do you wash the whole bed or just the cover?
Answer:I wash the whole bed. It's doesn't come apart (there is no cover and/or filling) so it's a or nothing. It washes really well!
