Properties
The copolymer, supplied in powder form, is slowly soluble in water resulting in amber-colored solutions with high viscosity and adhesivity. It is used as a bio adhesive in denture adhesives, and as mucous adhesive for drug delivery to mucous membranes.

Applications	MP955 polymer, a mixed sodium/calcium salt copolymer, can be used directly in the formulation of a denture adhesive. In denture adhesives the salts provide excellent wet adhesive strength and duration of hold.

The MP polymers are a mixed sodium and calcium salt of methyl vinyl ether and maleic anhydride copolymer supplied as a powder. The polymer is slowly soluble in water resulting in amber-colored solutions with high viscosity and adhesion. Cations form salt bridges which crosslink the polymer chains.
Applications: MP955 polymer can be used directly in formulation of a denture adhesive. In denture adhesives, the salts provide excellent wet adhesive strength and duration of hold.
