Description
,Chemical Name: Ammonium Sulfate
,Molecular Formula : (NH4)2SO4
,Molecular Weight: 132.15
,CAS: 7783-20-2
,Character: It is colorless transparent orthorhombic crystal, deliquescent. Relative density is 1.769(50ºC). It's soluble in water(At 0ºC, solubility is 70.6g/100mLwater; 100ºC, 103.8g/100mLwater). Aqueous solution is acidic. It's insoluble in ethanol, acetone or ammonia. It reacts with the alkalies to form ammonia.
,Usage: According to GB 2760-2011, it could be used as processing aid (only used as nutrient for fermentation). It also could be used as dough regulator and yeast food. In fresh yeast production, it's the nitrogen source for yeast cultivation (Dosage is not specified.). Dosage is about 10% (about 0.25% for wheat powder) for yeast nutrient in bread.
,Packing: It is packed with polythene bag as the inner layer, and a compound plastic woven bag as the outer layer. The net weight of each bag is 25kg.
,Storage and Transport: It should be stored in a dry and ventilative warehouse, kept away from water and moisture during transport; unloaded with care as to avoid damage. Furthermore, it must be stored separately from poisonous substances.
