Description


The bellows expansion joint is a flexible component consisting of two corrugated pipes and rods and end plates with the same geometric parameters and wave numbers connected by the middle pipe. It is mainly used to compensate the lateral displacement of single plane or multi plane curved pipe section. It is suitable for "L" and "Z" type pipes. Because the pull rod can bear the pressure thrust and other additional external forces, the expansion joint absorbs the internal pressure force and does not produce external force to the pipe. Therefore, the pipeline at both ends of the expansion joint can use the intermediate fixed support or guide support to reduce the construction cost and improve the construction efficiency.

The performance characteristics of the transverse large rod bellows expansion joint are composed of two bellows connected by the middle pipe and the structure parts such as pull rod, end plate and spherical and cone washer, which mainly absorb the lateral displacement, and can also be used to compensate for the axial, transverse, angular direction, and the displacement of the direction in which the three forms are synthesized. It is recommended that the compound rod expansion joint be installed in the middle short arm of the Z shape pipe with a 90 degree angle to compensate for the axial displacement of the two ends of the pipeline.

The transverse displacement is the relative displacement in the vertical direction of one end of the bellows and the longitudinal axis of the other end. The single bellows can have lateral displacement, but the displacement is very small. A good solution is to use the duplex bellows as shown in Figure 2. The result is that the lateral displacement compensation increases and the force decreases.
