Why use a solid-state soft starter?
The three-phase asynchronous motor will produce a large starting current when it is started directly. With different loads and motor configurations, the starting current can generally reach 5 ~ 9 times of the rated operating current. Such a large starting current has a great impact on the power grid, causing voltage drop of the power supply bus and affecting the normal operation of other electrical equipment on the same bus. In order to solve the transmission and distribution investment caused by the peak of power supply. In addition, the high peak torque generated by a large starting current will not only impact the motor but also affect the driven load, increase mechanical wear and affect the service life of the equipment. Using a soft starting device to start and stop the motor can control and reduce the motor current during starting and stopping to avoid the above adverse effects.
