Function:
Gliptin is a highly selective and reversible substrate-like DPP-4 enzyme inhibitor, which has bidirectional regulation effects on blood glucose. Vildagliptin inhibits the activity of DPP-4 by combining with DPP-4 to form a DPP-4 complex, increases the concentration of active glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), and promotes the glucose-dependent growth of islet β cells. While secreting, it can also regulate α cells, and in the case of hyperglycemia, it can reduce glucagon levels.
