We use prime steel in each guardrail design. A multi-stage cleaning process prepares the metal for galvanizing. Continuously galvanized steel ensures a consistent finish without sharp points or zinc build-up. Looking for a different finish for your safety guardrail? Juhe W-Beam guardrail is produced in standard AASHTO 12' 6" or 25' 0" lengths. In addition to the standard W-beam sizes, custom lengths and custom post-hole spacing are available on request. Juhe W-Beam steel guardrail is offered in 10-gauge or 12-gauge steel and four types of finishes. We also offer pre-curved shapes as part of our commitment to value.

W-Beam Steel Galvanizing Process

We begin with prime steel that matches the requirements for quality, physical properties, and chemistry. A multi-stage cleaning process prepares the metal for galvanizing on our continuous galvanizing line. Production then pierces the steel with holes and/or slots (to either industry standards or project specifications) and roll-forms it into the W-Beam profile in one continuous process.

Juhe's continuously galvanized process assures a consistent finish on the W-beam steel guardrails. It also eliminates sharp points and uneven zinc build-up that is typically found in hot-dip galvanized products. While most highway guardrail manufactured by Gregory is supplied in galvanized finish, it is also available in black, painted epoxy coatings, or weathered steel as alternative finishes for aesthetic applications.

Juhe Thrie-Beam guardrail is produced in standard AASHTO 12'-6" or 25'-0" lengths. Custom lengths and custom post-hole spacing are available on request. Our Thrie-Beam highway guardrail is offered in 10-gauge or 12-gauge steel, four types of finishes, and in pre-curved shapes as part of our commitment to value.
 

Thrie-Beam Barrier Galvanizing Process

We begin with prime steel that matches requirements for quality, physical properties, and chemistry. A multi-stage cleaning process prepares the metal for galvanizing on our own Modified Sendzimer Continuous Galvanizing Line. Production then pierces the steel with holes and/or slots (to either industry standards or project specifications) and then roll-forms it into the Thrie-Beam profile, creating new sections of guardrail, in one continuous process.

Juhe continuously galvanized steel assures a consistent finish while eliminating sharp points and uneven zinc build-up that is typically found in hot-dip galvanized products. While most Juhe guardrail is supplied in galvanized finish, it is also available in black, painted epoxy coatings, or weathered steel as alternative finishes for aesthetic applications.

 
Convex curved guardrail

Convex & Concave Curved Guardrail Panels
Juhe Highway's curved guardrail sections can be installed on curves having a radius of 5 feet to 150 feet. Panels can be pre-curved either convex or concave in our fabricating facilities prior to delivery. Terms "convex" or "concave" refer to the direction curved, inward or outward, relative to the traffic face of the guardrail.
 
How to Find the Radius of Curved Guardrail
 
1,Starting at the last post in the straight run (Point A), lay a cloth tape along the path that the curved guardrail will follow.

2,Mark-off two points along the curved cloth tape: one at 6'-3'', (Point B) and the second at 12'-6'' (Point C)

3,Pull strong directly from starting point (Point A) to the second mark-off point (Point C).

4,Measure from the first mark-off point (Point B) over to the mid-point of the taut string. This measurement (D) is the rise.

5,Check the guardrail radius chart below to find the radius (R), given the rise (D). Example: A rise of 3-7/8'' would result in a radius of 60 feet

Note:

Follow the steps above for each piece of guardrail section in the curved run. The arc may not be consistent, and each consecutive piece of guardrail may differ in radius from the previous one.

Crash test

 
 * As part of the rewrite of NCHRP 350 [NCHRP Project 22-14(2)], the MGS Barrier was successfully tested

 * With both the 5000-pound quad cab and 5000-pound 3/4-ton pickup trucks

 * With the 2425-pound small car at the 31" rail height
   
 * The MGS Barrier has a greater construction tolerance: * Was tested to 31"

 * Having all of the components of the MGS system tested at 27 5/8" allows the states to both set a construction tolerance  .for         the rail system and to overlay the road without adjusting the system.

 * Both tangent and flared terminals were tested in the MGS configuration as an option 

 * The MGS Guardrail Barrier offers many variables to accommodate the real-world site conditions.

 * The SKT and FLEAT were successfully crash tested in the MGS configuration.

 
   There is ongoing funding for the MGS barrier. The MGS system will be tested on a slope, with the posts set on the break line of     a 2:1 slope. It will also be tested in a long span application with 3 missing posts.
