Ferro chromium has three functions in the steelmaking and casting industry.
Deoxidizer:Ferro chromium alloys can remove oxygen from molten steel in the steelmaking process, and other impurities such as sulfur and nitrogen in steel can also be removed with other ferroalloys.
Alloy additives: According to the composition requirements of the steel type, ferro chromium alloy elements are added to the steel to improve its performance of the steel.
Inoculant:As inoculant, ferro chromium alloy is added to molten iron before casting to improve the crystalline structure of cast iron.
