1 Application and Description

For electricity supply in power stations, public networks and industrial plants for indoor and outdoor installation in dry and wet locations, on racks, in conduits and direct burial, if greater mechanical protection required. Also the Nylon sheath provides an excellent protection against termites.

2 Construction

Conductor: Class 2 circular plain copper or aluminium of the type specified in AS/NZS 1125.

Conductor screen: Cross-linked extruded semi conductive screen.

Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene compound XLPE in accordance with AS/NZS 3808.

Insulation screen: Cross-linked extruded semi conductive screen.

Water-blocking tape: Semi conductive water-swellable tape

Metallic screen: Plain annealed copper wires complying with AS/NZS 1125

Laying-up: Screened cores are laid up in a right-hand direction of lay.

Filler: Non-hygroscopic material

Binder tapes: Non-hygroscopic binder tape 

Separation sheath: Polyvinyl chloride compound PVC 5V-90 complying with AS/NZS 3808

Armour: Single layer galvanized low-carbon(mild )steel wires helically applied

Inner sheath: Polyvinyl chloride compound PVC 5V-90 complying with AS/NZS 3808

Nylon Jacket: An extruded jacket of polyamide 11 or 12

Outer sheath: High density thermoplastic polyethylene ( HDPE)complying with AS/NZS3808
