How does it Work?
The way it works is by having one side of the mirror highly reflective, and the other side partially reflective, which allows light to pass through. The partially reflective side is typically placed in a darker room or environment, while the highly reflective side faces a brighter area, such as a well-lit room. This creates the illusion of a mirror for those in the well-lit room, while those in the darker room can see through the partially reflective side.

How to tell if a mirror is two-way?
You can see the other side through the mirror. Cup your hands to minimize light and look in the mirror. If it's a two-way mirror, you can see through it. (Note: This is the best and most reliable method.)
Fingernail test: Touch the mirror surface with your fingernail. If your fingernail is touching the image, it's probably a two-way mirror. If there is a gap between the nail and the image, the back of the mirror is silvered instead of the surface. It may not be a two-way mirror.
