Description

Veterinary Xylazine Injection Solution 100mg/ml For Horse and Cervidae

Product name:Xylazine Hydrochloride Injection.

[Main ingredient] Cylazine

[Properties] This product is a colorless and clear liquid.

[Pharmacological Action]

Pharmacodynamics This product is a powerful drug α Adrenaline receptor agonists have significant sedative, analgesic, and muscle relaxation effects. Although many pharmacological actions of cylazine are similar to morphine, they do not cause central excitation in cats, horses, and cattle, but rather cause sedation and central inhibition. The relaxation effect on skeletal muscle is related to its inhibition of nerve impulse conduction at the central level. Intramuscular injection often induces vomiting in cats, and occasionally in dogs.
The effects of cylazine on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems vary widely. Most animals have an initial increase in blood pressure after administration, but subsequently due to decompression reflex, blood pressure decreases for a long time, heart rate slows, and bradycardia. In addition, the drug can reduce sympathetic excitability, enhance vagal activity, and cause excessive secretion of saliva in ruminants. The effect on respiration is a decrease in respiratory frequency. It also has a certain stimulating effect on uterine smooth muscle, and can increase the tension of bovine uterine muscle and intrauterine pressure. It should be used with caution in pregnant livestock.
Pharmacokinetics: Both intramuscular and subcutaneous injection of this product can be rapidly absorbed, but the absorption is incomplete and irregular. The bioavailability varies greatly among different species and individuals. The bioavailability of intramuscular injection is 40% to 48% for horses, 17% to 73% for sheep, and 52% to 90% for dogs. Intramuscular injection takes effect within 10-15 minutes, and intravenous injection produces a more rapid effect. The duration of the efficacy depends on the dosage administered, and generally lasts 1.5 hours. The drug is widely metabolized in the body and metabolizes rapidly, with a half life of 23 minutes for sheep, 50 minutes for horses, 36 minutes for cattle, and 30 minutes for dogs.

[Drug interactions] 1. When combined with central nervous suppressants such as chloral hydrate, thiopental sodium, or pentobarbital sodium, it can enhance the inhibitory effect This product can enhance the analgesic effect of ketamine, relax muscles, and antagonize the central axis excitation response Combination with adrenaline can induce arrhythmia.

[Indications] Mainly used for chemical stabilization and basic anesthesia of livestock and wild animals, as well as for inducing vomiting in cats.

[Usage and dosage] Intramuscular injection: 1 to 2 mg horse, 0.1 to 0.3 mg cow, 0.1 to 0.2 mg sheep, 0.1 to 0.2 mg dog, 1 to 2 mg cat, 0.1 to 0.3 mg deer per 1 kg body weight

[Adverse reactions] After medication, dogs and cats often experience vomiting, muscle tremor, bradycardia, decreased respiratory frequency, and increased urination in cats Ruminants are sensitive to this product, and after administration, they exhibit increased saliva secretion, rumen relaxation, bloating, nausea, diarrhea, slow heartbeat, and dyskinesia. Cows in the late trimester of pregnancy may experience premature birth or miscarriage Equine animals can experience muscle tremors, bradycardia, decreased respiratory frequency, hyperhidrosis, and increased intracranial pressure after medication.

[Precautions]
(1) Cows should fast for a certain period of time and be injected with atropine before using this product; During the operation, the patient should adopt a prone position and lower his head to prevent foreign body pneumonia and reduce the pressure on the heart and lungs when the stomach swells. It should not be used in cattle during late pregnancy.
(2) Dogs and cats can cause vomiting after medication.
(3) Use with caution in affected animals with symptoms such as respiratory depression, heart disease, and renal insufficiency.
(4) Available when poisoned α 2 receptor blockers and atropine.

[Drug withdrawal period] 14 days for cattle and sheep, and 15 days for deer.

[Storage] Keep tightly closed and in a cool and dry place.
