Product Description

The WBL-25 laboratory twin screw granulator consists of a small precision twin screw mixing extruder, a set of granulation die, a water tank, and a pelletizing unit to form a twin screw extrusion cooling granulator unit. The WBL-25 laboratory twin screw granulator adopts a modular barrel and a parallel meshing co rotating twin screw structure. It can recombine threaded components based on material characteristics to achieve mixing of materials with different characteristics and improve the mixing effect.

The screw is generally divided into five sections: conveying section, melting section, mixing section, exhaust section, and homogenizing section.

1: Conveying section, conveying materials to prevent overflow.

2: Melting section, which fully melts and homogenizes materials through heat transfer and friction shearing.

3: The mixing section further refines and unifies the size of the material components, forming an ideal structure with distributed and dispersed mixing functions.

4: Exhaust section, discharging impurities such as water vapor and low molecular weight substances.

5: Homogenization (metering) section, conveying and pressurization, establishing a certain pressure to make the material at the mold mouth have a certain density, while further mixing, ultimately achieving the goal of smooth extrusion and granulation.

Working principle of laboratory twin screw granulator

The continuous rotation of the twin screw repeatedly forces the material to turn, which helps to evenly mix and plasticize the material. Under the heating, mixing, shearing, plasticizing, compaction and exhaust effects of a twin screw extruder, the material is plasticized into a uniform melt. Under the extrusion of the twin screw, circular strips of material are extruded through the machine head, cooled by a cooling water tank, and then cut into particles by a granulator to obtain plastic pellets.
