Aluminum hydroxide flame retardant is a kind of filling flame retardant, mainly composed of Al (OH) 3. Aluminum hydroxide micro powder is white powder without secondary pollution. It is an inorganic environment-friendly flame retardant.It can endow products with flame retardant, smoke elimination, filling, antistatic and other characteristics. The utility model has the advantages of low cost, high performance, good stability, no volatilization, no corrosion to equipment, high decomposition temperature, etc.
It is suitable for flame retardant fields such as rubber and plastic products, such as mine conveyor belt, mine air duct coating cloth, hose, rubber plate, carpet, rubber liner, PVC wire and cable material, wire and cable sheath, building materials, damping paste, damping plate, electronics, etc.
Flame/Fire Retardant:
The initial decomposition temperature of aluminum hydroxide is about 205 ºC. Aluminum hydroxide flame retardant can release a large amount of water vapor when heated. A large amount of water vapor can store heat and dilute the concentration of polymer combustible gas. It can also form a non combustible barrier between the combustion source and the matrix material to achieve the purpose of flame retardance. At the same time, it is also a smoke suppressant, because the gas it releases is water vapor, which has no corrosion to metals

2.Activated Aluminum Hydroxide(Surface Treated grade) Aluminum hydroxide (aluminum trihydrate) exerts its flame retardant effect by decomposing and absorbing heat, generating steam and diluting. When adding more flame retardants to give better flame retardant effect, the physical and mechanical properties of the material are seriously deteriorated, and many difficulties in material processing are caused. In order to alleviate and solve this problem, we have developed surface modified aluminum hydroxide, which has good compatibility with polymers and good dispersion in the substrate. Therefore, it can allow higher addition and help to improve the elongation, tensile strength and impact strength of the material. Activated aluminum hydroxide can improve the combination and processability of aluminum hydroxide and resin, and make it have double functions of flame retardant and filler. Therefore, adding the activated aluminum hydroxide to plastics, rubber and other composite materials can not only make the product have flame retardant, smoke suppression and self extinguishing effect, but also enhance the anti leakage, arc resistance and wear resistance.
