Product Description

What are the steel plate cutting methods-steel plate cutting methods mainly include cold cutting and hot cutting.
Cold cutting is divided into water cutting or ordinary shearing. Generally, the matching steel plate cutting method can be used according to the thickness of the steel plate and the material distinction. Thermal cutting includes methods such as flame cutting, plasma cutting, or laser cutting.

According to different thickness, the steel plate is divided into thin plate (0.2mm-4mm), medium plate (4mm-60mm) and thick plate (>60mm).
Shearing machines and flame cutting machines are generally used for thin plates, which are characterized by fast shearing speed, high efficiency and low cost. However, when the flame cutting machine cuts thin steel plates, it is easy to cause deformation, so it should be selected according to the usage situation.



The characteristic of laser cutting steel plate is that the accuracy is relatively high, but because of the high cost of laser cutting equipment, the cutting cost is higher, and the steel plate with a slightly higher thickness, such as 20mm, can be cut with oxygen.

Water jet cutting is also suitable for thick steel plates. It has a wide cutting range, high precision, is not easy to deform, and is environmentally friendly. The disadvantage is that it is slow and consumes a lot of energy.
