1.Summary
The dummy load is used to dissipate 1KW, 3KW, 5KW and 10KW (depending on the specific model) RF power from DC to 1000Mhz. Its characteristic is 50 Ω impedance, and the standing wave ratio (VSWR) is not more than 1.10:1. Therefore, due to its low reflection coefficient, it is very useful for the maintenance of radio and television transmitters, the discharge of load on the filter, and the termination on the power synthesizer. The outlet connector configured for this series of products can range from N-type quick connector to 3-1/8 ″ connector

2.When the load is energized, unscrew the vent hole on the breather valve. In order to eliminate the air heated and expanded in the load chamber due to the rise of load temperature. If the heated air is not removed in time, the pressure in the cavity will increase, the pressure at the sealing gasket will be too high, and the oil leakage at the load outlet will be caused. Enough space should be left around the load (at least 12 inches around and at the top) to facilitate air circulation and heat dissipation of the load

3.Fan assembly: When leaving the factory, the wiring of the fan assembly has been installed, and no special wiring is required. The fan must be operated manually, unless the component is automatically connected in the factory. When the fan is not started, the power added to the dummy load cannot be higher than 1250W (suitable for 5KW and 10KW loads with air cooling).

4.Transmitter interlock: normally closed thermal switch (CKSD301 250V 10A 45 ºC) is connected to the transmitter interlock. If the cooling temperature of the dummy load is too high, which will cause damage to the dummy load, this switch will turn on and off the transmitter. The 1-2 pins of the three-core socket are normally closed contacts.

5.Maintenance: almost no maintenance. Keep the machine clean and dustproof. Field replacement of resistors is not recommended. However, if necessary, please tighten the breather valve and place the machine vertically with the RF connector facing up. Remove the 8 socket head screws that fix the RF module. Carefully and quickly lift the assembly to drain the excess oil back to the radiator. Loosen the clip at the end of the cover and remove

6 taper head screws. Carefully pull the cover off the resistor. To install a new resistor, follow the reverse steps, but ensure that the resistor fits perfectly with the fixture safely. Please check the O-ring between the radiator and the RF module. If it is broken or damaged, it must be replaced immediately. After confirming that the module is located in the radiator, return to the horizontal position and detect whether there is coolant leakage.

7.Cooling: In the factory, the dummy load is injected with special non-toxic and non-conductive coolant at normal temperature and reaches the normal plane. Observe whether the coolant leaks. A small amount of leakage will not affect the work, but a large amount of leakage will have adverse effects. If not, do not replace the coolant, please use the coolant provided by the original factory.
