Process	Krypton is obtained from air separation plants. A stream containing a mixture of crude krypton and xenon is extracted from the plant and processed in a separate purification and distillation system.

Application:
Krypton is used:
1. for certain ion lasers and in mixtures with halides and helium of neon for excimer laser applications
2. in incandescent lamps, mixed with nitrogen and argon or nitrogen, argon and xenon
3. in mixtures with argon as a filing gas for fluorescent tubes
4. as a filing gas for various halogen lamps, such as those used in cars, on airfields and in low voltage display lamps
