Beam Transport Vehicle (Transfer car) also known as cross flat cart, transfer trolley,electric flat cart, is like a crane without a hoist, operating on ground and is used for material handling at ground level.A typical Transfer car consists of:Wheel system or boogie system,drive (geared motor),control station,power supply system for drives.Transport surface can be flat, with support plates, or specific elements can be integrated such as double-wedge cradles to support rounds such as ferrules or coils, in the direction of travel or also transverse and one or more coils or rolls of straps with anti-roll system.
Transfer car have advantages as simple structure, easy operation and maintenance,cost-effective, safe and flexible material handling cart which is widely used in fabrication shops, warehouses, metallurgical plants, steel mill and factory, paper roll plant,painting room,shipbuilding,new factory building project,etc. It can also cooperate with overhead and gantry cranes in the workshop to transport heavy loads across the bridge.They are an important complement to cranes lifting heavy loads at ground level and the ideal solution for transferring material.
