APPLICATION
WL series is independently developed based on technologies introduced from former Western Germany SCHISSDL series and Italy SAFOP LEONARD series.
WL series adopts modular design, with advantages of heavy load, high precision, strong structure, wide application and convenient operation. Besides basic performance of conventional heavy duty horizontal lathe the machine can carry out CNC automatic machining for cone and curve surfaces, steps groove, and thread etc. Milling, grinding, boring and drilling can be carried out if equipped with different attachments. The machine can be applied in industries of energy, transportation, metallurgy, aerospace, aviation and heavy duty machinery, such as machining rotor of steamer, cover band, generator, rotor of water turbine, mechanical shaft, rudder spindle, hoister and barrel of ship.
WLR is developed based on technologies of WL series,with remarkable improvement of accuracy speed efficiency and automation. Various functional attachments could be adopted such as tool post type tool carriage, turret tool carriage, grinding wheel head, boring toolhead, etc. At single set-up all machining processes could be completed.
The main performance characteristics:
- Headstock spindle adopts high accuracy rolling bearing in radial and axial. Two or three step mechanic speed change, DC motor drive. Master and slave servo motors could be adopted for milling feeding and indexing. Milling gearbox with double servo motor could be adopted for milling feeding and indexing;
- Tailstock adopts self-adapt mechanism of workpiece thermal elongation, load cell and teeth thrust device:·Lengthwise and crosswise guideway of tool carriage adopts closed type hydrostatic guideway with constant flow or plastic paste soft belt guideway.
- Lengthwise transmission adopts double rack and pinion mechanism for clearance elimination; crosswise transmission adopts double nut clearance elimination mechanism and ballscrew. Toolholder with KENNA heavy cutting interface is adopted at front of tool post. Standard toolbar or quick change tool bit could be mounted on the toolholder;
- Optional attachments: Milling tool carriage, end-face tool carriage for boring and turning, grinding head deep-hole boring system with diameter, deep-hole drilling system with small or large diameter, etc;
- For WLR series, various functional attachments could be adopted such as carriage with double tool posts, turret carriage, grinding wheel head, boring carriage, etc. Automatic attachment change could be realized.
- Optional CNC system: SIEMENS, FANUC, REXROTH etc.

It is suitable for industries of energy, communication, metallurgy and other heavy duty machinery, such as machining rotor of steamer, board, generator, motor of water turbine, mechanical shaft and sleeve etc .
