Performance and use:
Gypsum retarder is mainly used to paint gypsum, bonded gypsum, gypsum putty, gypsum products and other production of gypsum building materials, mainly used to reduce the speed of gypsum coagulation. There are three main types of retardants commonly used: organic acids and their soluble salts, alkaline phosphates and protein retardants. Organic acids and their soluble salt retarders mainly include citric acid, sodium citrate, tartaric acid, potassium tartrate, acrylic acid and sodium acrylate, etc. The most studied, the best effect is citric acid and its salt. Citric acid and its salt can achieve strong retarding effect when the dosage is very small. Phosphate retarders mainly include sodium hexametaphosphate and sodium polyphosphate.
