XHHV535-4TS+XHGG502+XHLJ504 Underground Cable Fault Locator/Location system

Accurately and quickly detect the main insulation failure of power cables with voltage levels of 35KV and below; calibrate the cable length; roughly test cable fault distance, find cable path, detect buried cable depth.


 The portable cable fault location system is a 1-phase mobile cable test and fault location system made in a form trolley. It is designed for

  • Testing low and medium-voltage cables with direct current voltage Up to 35kV
 
  • Pre-locating cable faults with the reflectometer XHGG502 based on the
low-voltage pulse reflection method (TDR),
high voltage flashover method
 (i e .DECAY, ICE),
arc reflection pulse reflection method (ARC 
single shot and ARC multi-shot)

XHGG502  cable fault pre-locator


Cable fault pre-location: with the reflectometer XHGG502 based on the low-voltage impulse reflection method(TDR), and high-voltage decay(flashover) method (DECAY), arc reflection method(single-shot/ multi-shot).







There are three test mode of XHGG502, low voltage pulse, high voltage flashover, ARC multi-shot.

The below picture shows cable length or cable open circuit fault distance measured by using low voltage pulse test mode of XHGG502. When using the low voltage pulse method, it is not necessary to connect the high voltage pulse generator. Other test methods must be used in conjunction with a high-voltage pulse generator.

XHHV535-4TS high voltage surge generator

The XHHV535-4TS high voltage surge generator can be used impulse discharge and withstand voltage test in low and high voltage cable fault test. High-precision test cable fault sampling waveform module and small transformer are installed inside, which can truly achieve the effect of not being damaged by impact, and it also has the functions of automatic timing impact, manual impact and withstand voltage test.

This device integrates a high-voltage DC source, an energy storage capacitor, a discharge ball device, an automatic discharge device, and a voltage level switching device into a cart-type high-end experimental instrument. It is a trolley-type high-end experimental instrument. The equipment completely solves the problems of ease of use, portability, safety and reliability of traditional experimental devices.

When the XHHV535-4TS trolley-type high-voltage surge generator is in use, after selecting the function switch, press the start button to perform high-voltage boosting work. After use, press the stop button, and the internal system will automatically release the remaining high voltage on the accumulator.

XHLJ504  Cable pipe locator

 
Working principle
The XHLJ504 cable pipe locator is composed of a high-power path signal generator(transmitter) and receiver
required for detecting buried cable paths.
The basic principle of the cable path meter is to use a path signal generator (ie, the path meter signal transmitting
host) to input a path pulse signal into the cable under test, thereby generating electromagnetic waves, and then
receiving them with a probe, and the receiver amplifies the received signal. After processing, the output is sent to
the earphone and the pointer meter.
 
Multi-function
The cable path receiver is used in connection with probes and headphones, etc., and can be used as a cable fault
pinpointer.



This cable pipe locator is mainly composed of transmitter and receiver, the two parts are shown as below.


The receiver combined with headphone work together with a high voltage pulse generator can be used as cable fault pinpointer.
