Why does replacing a new oil filter cause oil leakage?
1.There are residues on the base: When replacing the spin-on oil filter, if there are impurities or damage on the base, it may cause frictional damage to the sealing ring during the installation process, and the sealing ring will continue to be damaged under the pressure of the oil, and oil leakage will occur , so after removing the old oil filter element, you should first wipe off the residue on the base and check for damage.
2.Irregular operation: During the installation process, the use of metal tools may cause deformation or wear of the shell of the spin-on oil filter. Excessive force will also cause damage to the sliding wire in the installation groove of the oil filter base. Oil leakage is prone to occur in the oil environment. At the same time, if the rotation is too tight, the filter housing is likely to collide with the filter seat and damage the filter and filter seat. If the rotation is too loose, the apron does not have the best rebound effect, and oil leakage is likely to occur There is even a risk of the filter falling off.
