Tip: choose the right wood! For an optimal cooking result, select suitable firewood: use only seasoned wood and preferably slow-burning hardwood such as beech, oak or ash. Wood of tropical origin tends to overheat and can damage the hob. Damp wood is difficult to light and causes unnecessary excess smoke. As explained in the user manual, the ideal is to build a small tower by assembling the logs 2 by 2 and lighting the fire in the center of it. This will allow optimal circulation of oxygen, which is essential for any fire.
