Azd9291 (methanesulfonate), or oxitinib mesylate, is suitable for the treatment of adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have been treated with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) before or after treatment, and whose egfrt790m mutation is positive. Azd9291 (methanesulfonic acid chemical Book salt) has high selectivity. The IC50 of T790M / L858R mutation and exon 19 deletion EGFR is 11.4nm and 12.9nm respectively, while the IC50 of wild-type EGFR inhibitor is 494nm. Oxitinib is an irreversible inhibitor of EGFR, which can form covalent bonds with molecular targets, so the theoretical response lasts longer and the chance of drug resistance is correspondingly reduced.
