Application:
The parallel groove clamp is used for the connection of small and medium-sized aluminum stranded wires or steel-cored aluminum stranded wires and the steel stranded wires of overhead lightning conductors at positions that do not bear tension, and is also used for jumper connections of non-linear pole towers.

When installing bolt-type parallel groove clamps, the torque applied to the bolts or nuts often varies from person to person, and generally no special measuring instrument is used to check the torque, resulting in differences between different bolts of the same clamp or clamps installed by different personnel. The resulting stress on the wire is inconsistent. If the pressure is too high, the wire will creep too much; if the pressure is too small, the clamp and the wire will lack sufficient pressure and grip at the beginning of operation. The quality of the spring washer also seriously affects the mechanical stability of the clamp. If a bad spring washer is selected, the spring washer will have a large plastic deformation after being subjected to external force, which will cause the clamp after installation to not get the proper pressure compensation when the wire creeps.
The H-type parallel groove clamp is installed with special hydraulic tools, and the pressure on the wire is relatively uniform and constant. Its connection with the wire is a one-time hydraulic shaping, so that the inner wall material of the wire clip is embedded in the outer layer of the wire. Since the wire clip and the outer strand of the wire belong to the same aluminum-based material, it can not only reduce stress relaxation but also compensate for wire creep.
