Carbon material use electrode powder, earth-like graphite or flake graphite, the amount of 3% - 8%, use water glass solution (m = 2.4 ~ 3.0) as a binder, after forming treated in 200 ~ 250 ºC low temperature after forming, the brick is finished. The refractoriness of the Water glass combination aluminum - magnesium carbon brick is 1770 ° C, and the 4% load softening temperature is 1320 to 1340 ° C, which is caused by the addition of Na2O. If using high modulus water glass in which the Na2O is less, load softening temperature increased to 1410 ºC, refractoriness is 1790 ºC.
