Juice lines usually include the following main components:
Fruit washing and sorting: First, the fruit is fed into a washing system where it is washed with water or other detergents to remove dirt and impurities from the surface. The fruit is then sorted to ensure that only those meeting quality standards enter subsequent processing steps.
Juicing and filtering: The washed and sorted fruit enters the juicer and squeezes out the juice. These extracted juices usually contain pulp, juice, and solid particles from the juice. In order to obtain a pure juice product, the juice is filtered to remove solid particles and pulp residues.
Sterilization and Concentration: Filtered juice enters sterilization equipment to destroy potential bacteria and microorganisms. This can be achieved by heat treatment or other sterilization methods. Next, the juice may need to be concentrated to reduce volume and extend shelf life. Concentration can be achieved by removing a portion of the water, usually using a vacuum evaporator or other concentration techniques.
Flavoring and blending: After the concentration process, the juice can be flavored and blended to achieve the desired taste and nutritional formula. This may involve added sugars, acidity regulators, vitamins, preservatives, etc. Seasoning and mixing is usually done in an ingredient trough or blender.
Filling and packaging: Finally, the flavored and blended juice is conveyed to a filling machine, which packs the juice into bottles, boxes or other packaging containers. The container is then sealed, labeled, and packaged for shipping and sale.
