It also enhances geranonitrile-based fragrances for a more natural, more citral-like scent. The general dosage is 0.5 to 3%, and it can also reach 10%. It is unstable in strong acid medium (pH=0.5~2), stable in weak acid and alkaline medium, and no factors that cause discoloration have been found. Since citronellonitrile does not exist in nature, it is necessary to prepare citronellonitrile by chemical synthesis.
