Product Description

BENVIS® GOLD viscosifier is a high efficiency hectorite clay noted for impacting superior heat stability, providing viscosity and suspension properties to high pressure high temperature (HPHT) oil-based drilling fluids. BENVIS® GOLD viscosifier is significantly more efficient than conventional organoclay viscosifiers at low concentrations. It delivers superior downhole stability to drilling and completion fluids versus conventional organoclay. It can also be used in specialty fluids such as casing pack, packer fluids, lost circulation pills and spotting fluids where viscosity is required. BENVIS® GOLD viscosifier is stable at temperatures up to 400°F.

Recommended Treatment

  • Add 2-6 ppb in diesel-based drilling fluids slowly through the mixing hopper
