Biological diesel oil is achieved through etherification reaction with methanol by adding alkali catalyst. The glycerin produced in the reaction is a subsidiary product.
A common view has been formed globally that waste oil and hogwash oil can be transformed into biological diesel oil. This not only solve the problems related to food safety, but also generates considerable economic benefits.
