Artichoke Extract Key Active Ingredients---- Cynarin (1, 3-dicaffeylquinic acid) is active principle of artichoke. The body makes bile acids from cholesterol. Increasing bile acid production results in a decrease
in circulating cholesterol. Improvement in digestion also results from the increased bile flow. The active ingredient in Artichoke most affecting bile production is Cynarin.
 
Artichoke Extract cynarin treat digestive upset, poor liver function, and a range of other ailments. Its primary use has been as a choleretic--a substance that strengthens liver function by increasing bile production, also has a centuries-old reputation as a diuretic (to increase urination). And it lower cholesterol and thus help to prevent heart disease, Artichoke Extract cynarin can help to ease upset stomach symptoms such as nausea, bloating, abdominal pain, and vomiting. Artichoke leaf is also reputed to relieve flatulence.
