Ethoxyquinoline (Ethoxyquin) referred to as ethoxyquinine, the commodity name is Shandao quinine or hupiling, chemical name is 6-ethoxyquinine 1, 3-dihydro2,2,4 trimethylquinoline, is yellowish brown viscous liquid, not easy to feed mixed evenly, so usually processed into about ethoxyquinine 25% additives. The raw materials of ethoxyquinoline are p-aminophenyl ether and ace-tone, which are heated and dehydrated in the presence of catalyst to get the crude product. The catalyst used hydrogen halide in the early stage, and later used sulfonic acid (such as benzene sulfonic acid, methyl sulfonic acid, cre-sol sulfonic acid, etc.). The post-treatment processes of crude products include vacuum distillation, vacuum distillation after extraction and acid water treatment.
