Rapid Test Strips for Melamine Detection
1. Principle
This test strip is based on immunochromatography technology, which is convenient, rapid. The total time is only 5min, without any complicated instrument, which can considerably reduce the work intensity. Coupling antigen is precoated on NC membrane, and melamine in the sample will compete for antibody with antigen coated, thus reaction of melamine in the sample with antibody would be inhibited.
2. Applications:
This strip can be used for qualitative analysis of melamine in raw milk and milk powder sample.
3. Detection limit
Raw Detection limit: 0.05 μg/ml (ppm)
Milk powder limit:0.5 μg/g (ppm)

Sample prepare

Raw milk . bring raw milk to room temperature for assay.

Note : raw milk sample should be fully liquid without any agglomeration or deposition.

Milk powder : weight 1g milk powder in to 15ml plastic tube , add 7ml deionized water or distilled water ,mix completely .

Assay step.

Read the instructions carefully before experiment. Bring the test kit and samples to room temperature. Milk samples should be fully liquid without any agglomeration or deposition.
Take bottles needed from the kit package, take out required wells and strips, and make proper marks. Please use these test strips within 1h. Seal the cap of the bottles. The rest strips can be stored for future use.
Take 200ul of the test samples into the wells, then repeatedly absorb and drop for 5 times to mix the sample with the reagent in the wells completely. The mixture should be pink.
Insert the test strips into the wells with the "Absorbent pad" end fully dipped in to the mixture.
Incubate for 5min in the room temperature. Take out the strip; judge the result according to Part 7.

Assay Steps

1. Prepare the test samples. Make proper marks, bring them to room temperature.	2. Take out required test wells, make proper marks.
3. Take 200ul test sample into the wells.	4. Mix the sample and reagent in the well completely by pipetting and dropping repeatedly for 5 times.
5. Insert the test strips into the wells with the "MAX" end fully dipped in to the mixture. Incubate for 5min at room temperature..	6. Take out the strip; judge the result according to Part 7.

7. Result interpretation
Negative(-) : Line T and Line C are both red.
Positive(+) : Line C is red, line T has no color.
Invalid: Line C has no color, which indicates the strips are invalid. In this case, please read the instructions again, and redo the assay with new strip.
Note: If the result of the strip needs to be recorded, please cut the foam cushion of the "MAX" end, and dry the strip, then keep it as file.

8. Notice
7.1 Please use up the strips as soon as the package is open.
7.2 The strip is one-off; please do not use it again.
7.3 Please avoid direct sunlight.
7.4 Do not touch the white membrane in the center of the strip with your figure.
9. Specificity
This product shows NEGATIVE with 500μg/L level of sulfonamides , tetracyclines, aminoglycosides, fluoroquinolones.
10. Storage
The kits can be stored at 2-8ºC in a cool dark place, please do not freeze.
The storage period is 12 months. Lot. No and valid time are printed on the package.
