Product Introduction

α-MEM medium (α Minimum Essential Medium) is a medium modified from MEM. Compared with MEM medium, α-MEM is added with sodium pyruvate, zinc sulfate, vitamin B12, biotin, ascorbic acid and other ingredients, and is widely used in the cultivation of various mammalian suspension and adherent cells. α-MEM is divided into two types: nucleosides and without nucleosides. Α-MEM without nucleosides and deoxynucleosides is often used as a selection medium for DG44 and other DHFR-deficient cells.

This product contains amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts and other ingredients required for cell culture, and does not contain protein or growth factors. Serum or serum-free additives must be added according to the cell type.

This product is sterilized by filtration through a 0.1 μm filter membrane, pH 7.0-7.4, contains L-glutamine, contains sodium pyruvate, adds phenol-red indicator, does not contain nucleosides and deoxynucleosides, and does not contain HEPES buffer system.
