Description

Used for temporary internal drainage from the ureteropelvic junction to the bladder. X-ray - proof polyurethane Ureteral Stent Sets have been employed to relieve obstruction in a variety of benign, malignant, and post-traumatic conditions. These stents may be placed using endoscopic, percutaneous, or open surgical techniques.

Ureteral stent kits mainly consists of ureteral stent, guide wire, push catheter, clip. Each end of the ureteral stent consists of a curled, tapered pigtail. Drainge holes are placed on each stent, including on the pigtail of the stent.The ureteral stent is made of X-ray - proof polyurethane.There are two types of guide wire, guide wire hydrophilic coating and zebra guide wire.

3. Biocompatible material designed for up to a 30-day indwelling time.


Instruction for Use

1. Using a baseline pyelogram, estimate the proper stent length; add 1 cm to that estimated ureteral measurement. Accurate measurement enhances drianage eddiciency and patient comfort.
2. Take out the product from the Tyvek pouch and make sure the product is in good condition.
3.1 Guide wire hydrophilic coating: Inject saline solution into the guide wire sheath, fully moisten the hydrophilic coating of guide wire, and remove the guide wire from the sheath after confirming the soft surface of the guide wire product is lubricated.
3.2 Zebra guide wire: It is recommended to flush the zebra guide wire with normal saline as well. 
3.3 Meanwhile, the ureteral stent was soaked with saline solution.
4. When the ureteral stent is placed retroactively by cystoscope, the guide wire is carefully inserted into the ureteral stent and push catheter. After the ureteral stent is fully unfolded, the ureteral stent is clamped with the guide wire, and the ureteral stent is pushed through cystoscope to the end of cystoscope instrument.The fixation clip was removed, and the ureteral stent was pushed forward to the patient's renal pelvis. The push catheter was clenched, the guide wire was removed, and the ureteral stent was indwelling in the ureter.If necessary, the endoscopic forceps can be used for fine tuning.
5. The ureteral stent should be operated according to the urological operation standard when other operations or methods are used.
6. The indewlling date of the ureteral stent should be recorded. Cystoscopy or X-ray development should be performed regularly. The ureteral stent should be removed timely by the scheduled date.
