The EUGENE®PdG rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of progesterone metabolite pregnanediol-3-glucuronide(PdG) in human urine.
Progesterone is a natural hormone secreted by corpus luteum and placenta of ovary. It is involved in the regulation of hypothalamus pituitary ovary axis together with estrogen, and involved in ovulatory menstrual cycle. In the second half of menstrual cycle, progesterone promotes the growth of endometrial glands, hyperemia and thickening of endometrium. It can prepare for the implantation of fertilized eggs, reduce the excitability of pregnant uterus, inhibit its activity, relax smooth muscle, and make the embryo grow safely. Progesterone test can understand the function of corpus luteum and whether the ovary ovulates.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
Negative: Two colored lines appear, indicating a negative result.
Positive: Only one colored line appears in the Control Line region. The absence of a test line indicates a positive result.
Invalid: The test is invalid if the Control Line is not visible at five minutes. The test failed or the test procedure was not followed properly. Verify the test procedure and repeat the test with a new test. If the problem persists, contact your local distributor.
