Description of Acid Resistant Mortar:
Acid Resistant MortarAcid Resistant Mortar is made with over42.5 grade ordinary Portland cement, sand and powder made of compact sand, quartzite and igneous rock, and adding suitable sodium silicate and sodium fluosilicate. Acid Resistant Mortar is mainly used as lining material, acid floor and acid protective layer.
Acid Resistant Mortar is a kind of special anticorrosive material with advantage of simple operation, good acid resistance, great impervious and hydrolytic resistance and low cost for kilns and furnace application.
Silica Refractory Mortar
The raw materials of silica refractory mortar are silica powder, silica brick powder, plastic clay, binding agent and additives. The principle crystalline phase of silica powder are β quartz, which will have phase conversion during heating, therefore its volume is not stable. Silica brick powders are the milled high temperature sintered silica bricks or used silica bricks, which have smaller volume change at high temperature. Therefore, the reasonable ratio of silica powder and silica bricks powder can improve the refractoriness under load stability and the linear change rate stability of silica refractory mortar. Silica refractory mortar is mainly used to mason blast furnace, hot blast furnace, coke furnace carbonization chamber, glass tank and spinal top of glass kiln, etc. Silica refractory mortar used in hot blast furnace should containing more than 94% of SiO2, 0.2MPa refractoriness under load (RUL) should be no less than 1600ºC. Silica refractory mortar used in glass kiln should contain 94~96% of SiO2, RUL should between 1600~1620ºC, while the SiO2 content for coke furnace is between 85%~92%, RUL temperature is between 1420ºC~1500ºC. Aluminum Silicate Refractory Mortar
Aluminum silicate refractory mortar includes clay based refractory mortar, mullite based refractory mortar, high alumina based refractory mortar and so on. accordingly, the matrix materials of aluminum silicate refractory mortars are clay clinker fines, sintered or fused mullite fines, high alumina bauxite clinker fines, sintered or fused corundum fines. During making aluminum silicate mortar, some quantity of soft clay, bonder and additives are added into the matrix. The function of soft clay is to improve the workability of the mortar, such as spread ability and adhesion ability, etc. Silica micro powder can be used to replace soft clay to enhance workabilityBinding agent is required to improve the strength of aluminum silicate refractory mortar. There are two types of binders: 1) silicate series, i.e. water glass with different modulus of (SiO2/Na2O). 2) Phosphate series, such as acidic aluminum phosphate and polyphosphate, etc. The quantity of binders is decided by applications. Generally speaking, the more the binder, the higher the sintered binding strength.
