How to ensure that the oil separator has a long service life?
1. The dust entering the compressor oil can be limited by replacing the air filter and oil filter in time and observing the oil change time;
2. It is also very important to choose the right oil. Only use approved, anti-aging and water-resistant oils. Atlas Copco's lubricating oil has been fully tested to meet the most stringent requirements of the whole process of oil separation. Using unsuitable oil that lacks sufficient anti-oxidation ability, even if it is only used for a short period of time, will cause deposits The continuous accumulation of the oil makes the density of the oil become jelly-like and clogs the oil separator;
3. Accelerated aging of oil is caused by high operating temperature. Therefore, sufficient attention must be paid to the provision of sufficient cold air and the timely removal of cooler sundries;
4. When changing oil, all used oil must be drained to prevent damage caused by residual oil and incompatibility of the two oils;
5. In rare cases, the oil will age prematurely due to some gases in the external environment;

Scavenge line does not reach into internal bowl at the base of the separator.

End of scavenge line seats against base of bowl forming a seal. No oil, or an insufficient quantity is sucked up by the scavenge line. Compressor manufacturer's gap clearance is normally 1 to 2 mm alternatively, ensure tapered cut to end of scavenge line.

Some compressor models are fitted wit a small stainless steel mesh filter at some point in the scavenge line which is to be cleaned on a regular basis. If not cleaned the filter will block resulting in no scavenge action.
