Description

Rattan tea is a wild vine belonging to the genus Vitis vinifera of the family Vitaceae. In addition to vine tea, the local names also include nectar tea, Maoyanberry and so on. It is mainly distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Lianghu, Yunnan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Fujian and other provinces. It grows in mixed forests on hillsides and has a large amount of wild reserves.
Branches glabrous, purple-brown. The leaves are bipinnately compound, sometimes the leaves at the top of the branches are pinnately compound, glabrous; the leaflets are herbaceous, the terminal leaflets are elliptic, diamond-shaped ovate, ovate or narrowly ovate, and the apex is acuminate Or short acuminate, round or truncate at base, glabrous above, greenish-white below, only a few hairs in vein fluid, lateral leaflets are narrow, slightly oblique, usually oblong-ovate; lateral veins 5-6 right. The flowers are bisexual, the cymes are opposite to the leaves, the total pedicel is 4-9cm long, the flowers are small, light green, with bracts at the base; the calyx is shallow disc-shaped; the disc is thick and connate with the ovary. The flowering period is from May to July, and the fruiting period is from July to August.
