Description:
Calendula officinalis L. is an annual herb of compositae. The whole plant is hairy. Leaves alternate, oblong. Yellow or orange flowers, flowering from April to September, fruiting from June to October. Like to grow in mild, cool climate, afraid of heat, cold. Native to southern Europe, Mediterranean coastal areas.

Function:
1. Flowers have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, especially on staphylococcus and streptococcus. Its antibacterial components are soluble in alcohol but insoluble in water, and the effect is better in alkaline environment;
2.The saponins in calendaria officinalis can decrease serum cholesterol, free fatty acid, phospholipid, β -lipoprotein, total lipid and triglyceride in experimental hyperlipidemia rats;
3.Polysaccharide in calendula officinalis has strong immune stimulation effect
