Pharmacological action (Pharmacodynamics):Ceftifur belongs to the class of β-lactam antibacterials, has the broad-spectrum bactericidal effect, is effective against both gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria (including the bacteria producing β-lactamase). Its antibacterial mechanism is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell walls and cause bacterial death.The sensitive bacteria mainly include Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella hemolyticus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, etc., and some Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterococcus are resistant.This product has stronger antibacterial activity than ampicillin and stronger activity against streptococcus than fluoroquinolones. (Pharmacokinetic): Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections of ceftiofur are rapidly absorbed and widely distributed, but do not pass through the blood-brain barrier.The concentration of the drug in the blood and tissues is high, and the effective blood drug concentration is maintained for a long time.In vivo, the active metabolite desfuroylceftiofur can be formed and further metabolized to inactive products for excretion from urine and feces. |
| Indication:β-lactam antibiotics.It is mainly used for treating bacterial diseases of livestock and poultry. Such as pig bacterial respiratory tract infection and chicken escherichia coli, salmonella infection. |
| Usage and dosage:Measured by cefuroxime.Intramuscular injection: one dose, 3 ~ 5mg for every 1kg body weight;Once a day for three days.Subcutaneous injection: 1 day old chicken, 0.1mg per feather. |
