A drop forged wire rope clip, sometimes called a clamp, is a device used to secure the end of a wire rope. It consists of a U-shaped piece of metal with a bolt or screws running through it. The U-shape fits over the wire rope and the bolt or screws are tightened down, compressing the clip around the rope. This creates a strong connection that can withstand significant tension and vibration.
Wire rope clips are an important safety component in many applications, such as construction, shipping, and mining. Conform Standard: Federal FF-C-450(Type 1, Grade 1), ASME B30.26-2004.
