Vitamin B6 is the coenzyme of many enzymes, which is involved in the metabolism of amino acids and fat. Nicotinamide, a component of coenzyme I and II, is essential for lipid metabolism, oxidation of tissue respiration and glycogen decomposition. Sodium pantothenate, a precursor of coenzyme A, is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrate, fat and protein.
