Sodium Chloride (NaCl), an ionic compound, is the major reason for salinity of sea water. Evaporation of sea water and mining of salt halite`s are the two major methods used, in the mass production of common salt. Sodium Chloride, as a chemical intermediate, is used in the production of a variety of chemicals. Industries, using this property of Sodium Chloride, are Chlor-alkali industry and Soda ash industry.
Apart from the above mentioned end user applications, it is also used in medicine, pharmaceutical, food and agriculture industries. Further, different grades of sodium chloride are produced to support its vast end users.
Leather by fresh raw hides after soaking, degreasing, hair removal, alkali soaking, tanning, finishing, dyeing, fatliquoring and other dozens of working procedure processing is made, is one of the most critical process tanning, tanning is that by joining tanning agent transformation of raw hides to cooked skin with moisture namely semi-finished leather, between the natural protein fiber in the formation of crosslinked structure, thus improve the leather chemical and mechanical stability. The main tanning methods are as follows: 1) Inorganic salt tanning leather, such as chromium, aluminum and other metal salts form coordination bonds with the carboxyl group on the protein fiber; 2) Organic tanned leather, such as aldehydes, phenolic compounds and protein fibers on the amine group, hydroxyl formation of covalent bonds; 3) Plant tanning leather, high molecular weight substances in plant SAP are used to interact with protein fibers through hydrogen bonds and ionic bonds.
