Betaine Anhydrous CAS 107-43-7 provides methyl to cysteine in animals to produce methionine, which is activated into s-glandular glycmethionine, and then transfers methyl to DNA, RNA, protein, creatine, lipids and other important methyl containing components. Betaine Anhydrous CAS 107-43-7 is 1.2 times more efficient in providing methyl than choline chloride and 3.8 times more efficient than methionine.
Choline itself cannot be used as a methyl donor. Betaine Anhydrous CAS 107-43-7 must be transported to mitochondria, oxidized to betaine, and finally released to cell fluid before it can be used as a methyl donor. The research shows that adding 1.25 kg of Betaine Anhydrous CAS 107-43-7 to each ton of pig feed has no effect on growth and development and feed efficiency, but the back fat is reduced by 15%.
And Betaine Anhydrous CAS 107-43-7 can increase the cross-sectional area of tenderloin and improve carcass meat quality. In the early stage of broiler feeding, 750 g Betaine Anhydrous CAS 107-43-7 can replace 1.5 kg methionine per ton of feed
Adding Betaine Anhydrous CAS 107-43-7 to chicken feed can reduce the amount of methionine in the feed. And 450 g Betaine Anhydrous CAS 107-43-7 can replace 1 kg methionine in the later stage. Betaine can also prevent fatty liver in pigs, chickens and fish.
