Graphitized Petroleum Coke Characteristics
Graphitized petroleum coke is the product after calcining petroleum coke as raw material, calcining petroleum coke is placed in the graphitization furnace, graphitized at high temperature, physical and chemical reaction occurs and impurities such as sulfur and ash are removed.Sometimes called synthetic graphite, when used as a carburizer, it is often called an ultra-low sulfur/low nitrogencarburizer.
Application
Acting as the inoculant and carburizer, Graphitized Petroleum Coke widely used in the special steel smelting and precision casting process, especially meeting the requirement of high quality product and strict control of sulfur content in the ductile iron and grey iron casting industry.Graphitized Petroleum Coke's also used as reducer agent in the nuclear reactor, the absorbent of heavy metal in the waste water treatment system and the raw material of graphite cathode in the aluminum electrolysis cell.
