still pot is used to heat liquor, mash or fermented grains by jacketed heating medium, Due to the different volatility of various substances contained in them, the relative content of various substances is different in steam and liquor during heating distillation. Alcohol (ethanol) is more volatile, the concentration of alcohol in the steam generated after heating increases, while the concentration of alcohol in liquor or mash decreases. Collect wine gas and cool it to get liquor.

The distiller made of glass or stainless steel can not achieve the same effect. In addition, red copper has good thermal conductivity and is the catalyst of some esterification reactions.
