The Description:

Application:
The use of saggar firing ceramics, not only can improve the amount of loading, products will not stick, improve the yield, and the saggar also has a certain thermal conductivity and thermal stability, can ensure the quality of ceramics. The shape of the saggar varies according to the shape of the utensil. The eggshell black pottery fired in Longshan culture of our country has already used special saggar. Two saggers made of eggshell pottery of Longshan culture were collected from Yangjiazi Site in Zhucheng City, Shandong Province, which are the earliest known saggers. Later found saggar, mainly decorated porcelain, the Sui Dynasty Xiang kiln has been found.
Saggar is made of refractory mud of various sizes of round POTS, roasting at high temperature. All kinds of porcelain billets must be first loaded into the saggar, and then into the kiln for roasting.
