Shale Stabilizer / Sulphonated Asphalt FT-1A

DESCRIPTION
This product is in form of black powder. It is water-soluble and a type of poly-anionic modified sulfated asphalt. It can block stratum cracks, prevent shale collapse and inhibit shale hydration. Meanwhile it has better performance in high temperature, it is an ideal product as lubricate, emulsifier and fluid loss reducing agent. It can be used in water-based fluid system. It is similar with SOLTEX.

APPLICATION
The sulfonated asphalt contains sulfonic acid groups, the hydration is very strong. When adsorbed on the interface of shale, it can prevent the hydration and dispersion of shale particles from playing a role in preventing collapse. At the same time, the water-insoluble part can fill pore throats and cracks to plug, and can cover the interface of shale and improve the quality of mud cake. Sulfonated bitumen also plays a role of lubrication in the drilling fluid and reduces the high temperature and high pressure loss.

PACKAGE
The product is usually kept in multi-wall bags with polythene layer inner, and net weight of each bag is 25 Kg, it should be kept in shady, dry and ventilated warehouse.
