Amikacin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. This product has good effect on most Enterobacteriaceae bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, enterobacter, proteus, Shigella, Salmonella, Citrobacter, Serratia, etc. it also has good effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and some other Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Alcaligenes, etc.; it also has good effect on meningococcus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and influenza bacillus In addition, Yersinia, Campylobacter foetus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and some mycobacteria also had good antibacterial activity, and their antibacterial activity was slightly lower than that of gentamicin. The most outstanding advantage of this product is that it is stable to aminoglycoside inactivating enzymes produced by many intestinal gram-negative bacilli, and will not lose antibacterial activity due to inactivation of such enzymes. In addition, aad (4 ') and APH (3') - can cause moderate drug resistance. About 60-70% of Enterobacteriaceae isolates were sensitive to gentamicin, tobramycin and netilmicin. In recent years, amikacin resistant strains of gram-negative bacilli also increased. In addition to the methicillin sensitive strains of Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Enterococcus were resistant to the drug. The mechanism of action of this product is to act on 30S subunit of bacterial ribosome and inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. When amikacin is combined with semisynthetic penicillins or cephalosporins, synergistic antibacterial effect can be obtained.
